Mobile App Marketing : Best 5-minute Acquisition Strategies
There are many strategies you can use in your Mobile App Marketing and many of them can be very involving and time consuming.
But there are also some that take almost no time to implement and that you only have to do once.
So here are my Best 5-minute Acquisition Strategies, enjoy!
1.Link To Your App In Your Email Signature
Who does not send emails?
It takes only a few minutes to add a link to your email signature and every time you send an email, the link will be there.
And in case you are using a CRM platform and regularly sending emails to your subscribers that have already expressed interest in your business,
…that’s thousands of opportunities to get clicks and additional installs for your app from a well targeted audience
Depending on the email platform you use, you can also use a Picture instead of a basic link with will convert at an even higher rate.
2.Drive installs from your mobile site.
Advertise your App on your mobile website and add a native app install banner.
This way your browser will automatically prompt more frequent visitors to install your app.
3.Drive installs from videos
If you have a YouTube channel, Use YouTube cards to add links to your apps or game to relevant portions of your YouTube videos.
Note that, in general, your channel needs to be in the YouTube Partner Program in order to access YouTube Cards.
Amongst other things, this means that you need to have more than 4,000 valid public watch hours in the last 12 months and more than 1,000 subscribers.
4.Drive App referrals and sharing through email or SMS
Referrals and shared in-app content from trusted sources, sent through email or SMS, is a great introduction for new users.
According to a Google and Ipsos MediaCT survey, 52% of people say they discover apps through word of mouth.
Recipients are automatically taken through a low-friction, personalized and no sign-in app install flow.
Pro Tips :
Motivate your existing users by making the invite option easy to find and offering incentives, such as in-app credit.
Personalize the invite with specific content. For example, if the user is sharing a map of a new running trail, include a photo of the surround landscape to make the invite more visual and informative.
Motivate new users when they first open your app from an invite by providing a reward, offering a free trial, or similar to increase retention.
5.Add a download link to your social media channels
More and more social media channels allow you to add links to your “business” profile or pages for Free or your visitors to directly download your app.
With Facebook Page for example, you can showcase screenshots and videos, explain the benefits of your app, and use a custom call-to-action button like Shop Now or Play Game to direct your visitors into your app.
